Book TV at Duke University: Lawrence Zelenak, "Learning to Love Form 1040: Two Cheers for the Return-Based Mass Income Tax"

Lawrence Zelenak

About the Program

Duke University professor Lawrence Zelenak sat down with Book TV to discuss his book, "Learning to Love Form 1040."  In the book, Prof. Zelenak looks as the history of the mass-based federal income tax and discusses why our process of paying taxes, once viewed as a matter of civic duty, is now largely viewed in negative terms.  He suggests ways to make paying taxes a means to increasing fiscal citizenship in the country.   This interview is part of Book TV's College Series.
