About the Program

Author James Bamford, who has written three books about the National Security Agency, discusses the history of NSA spying and the NSA's surveillance of American citizens since 9/11.  He also talks about NSA leaker Edward Snowden and the current lawsuit being brought against the Agency by the Electronic Frontier Foundation.   Mr. Bamford spoke at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.           

About the Authors

James Bamford

Investigative reporter James Bamford is the author of "The Puzzle Palace," the first book published about the NSA.  He later authored two more: "Body of Secrets" and "The Shadow Factory."  Mr. Bamford has also written and co-produced a documentary on the NSA titled, "The Spy Factory."
