About the Authors

Susan Herman

Susan Herman is the president of the American Civil Liberties Union.  She is the author of Terrorism, Government, and Law: National Authority and Local Autonomy in the War on Terror.  Ms. Herman holds a chair as Centennial Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School.
