About the Program

Book TV sat down with former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman to discuss his memoir, "Being Oscar."  Mr. Goodman talked about cases he handled during his career as a criminal defense attorney, including his representation of mobsters like Meyer Lansky, Anthony Spilotro, and Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal (Spilotro and Rosenthal were portrayed in Martin Scorsese's movie "Casino").  He also shares stories from his three terms as mayor of Las Vegas and talks about some of the controversies that surrounded him while in office.  This interview was conducted at FreedomFest, a libertarian conference held annually in Las Vegas.
