Ben Carson is the author of five non-fiction books:
Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story (1990); Think Big: Unleashing Your Potential for Excellence (1996); The Big Picture (2000); Take The Risk: Learning to Identify, Choose and Live with Acceptable Risk (2008); and America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great (2011).
Ben Carson, M.D., is the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and professor emeritus of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Carson has received more than 60 honorary degrees and hundreds of awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He is also co-founder and president of the Carson Scholars Fund, which awards scholarships to young people of all backgrounds for exceptional academic and humanitarian achievements.
