About the Authors

Bruce Bechtol

Bruce Bechtol is an associate professor of political science at Angelo State University.  Prof. Bechtol is a former senior intelligence analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency and is currently on the editorial advisory board of the Korea Observer.  He also president of the International Council on Korean Studies and sits on the board of directors of the Council on U.S.-Korean Security Studies.  Prof. Bechtol's books include "Defiant Failed State" and "Red Rogue," both about North Korea.
