Amy Gutmann

Amy Gutmann has been president of the University of Pennsylvania since 2004.  She is also a distinguished professor of political science at the university.  President Gutmann previously served as provost of Princeton University.  She is the co-author, with Dennis Thompson, of "Why Deliberative Democracy?" and "Democracy and Disagreement."
