After Words

After Words: Marty Makary, "Unaccountable: What Hospitals Won't Tell You and How Transparency Can Revolutionize Health Care," hosted by Richard Davis, Sibley Memorial Hospital President

About the Program

The Johns Hopkins surgeon provides an insider's look at the dangers of a stay in the hospital.  He argues that patients are endangered by errors, over-treatment and a closed-door culture that protects medical practitioners first.  He discusses his findings and experience with the president of Washington, D.C.'s Sibley Hospital (part of the Johns Hopkins network) Richard Davis.
