Mark Updegrove is the author of Second Acts: Presidential Lives and Legacies After the White House and Baptism by Fire: Eight Presidents Who Took Office in Times of Crisis.  He is the director of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library & Museum.

Michael Gillette

Michael Gillette is the author of Launching the War on Poverty: An Oral History.  He is the executive director of Humanities Texas and the former director of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library's Oral History Program.
