Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alice Walker sat down with Book TV to talk about the lasting impact of her novel, "The Color Purple,"  which was published in June 1982.  Ms. Walker was interviewed at George Mason University, where she was appearing as part of the Fall for the Book festival.
