About the Program
Damien Echols recalls his arrest, incarceration, and eventual release for the murder of three, eight-year old boys in 1993. Mr. Echols and two other men, Jesse Miskelly, Jr. and Jason Baldwin, dubbed the "West Memphis Three," spent seventeen years in prison. Mr. Echols discusses the case and his time spent on death row at Town Hall Seattle.

Damien Echols was arrested along with Jesse Miskelly, Jr. and Jason Baldwin in 1993 for the murders of three, eight-year old boys in West Memphis, Arkansas. He spent the next seventeen years on death row until he, Mr. Miskelly, Jr. and Mr. Baldwin were released in 2011. Mr. Echols is the author of Almost Home.
