William Clancey, chief scientist at NASA, talks about the people who control the Mars Exploration Rovers from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the experiments they are conducting.  This event, hosted by the Commonwealth Club of California, was held at the Tech Museum in San Jose.   

About the Authors

William Clancey

William Clancey is Chief Scientist of Human-Centered Computing in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA Ames Research Center.  He is also a senior research scientist at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition.  He is the author of "Situated Cognition: On Human Knowledge and Computer Representations."
