About the Program
From the 2012 Harlem Book Fair, a panel discussion on education. The panelists include, Akil Khalfani, The Hidden Debate: The Truth Revealed about the Battle over Affirmative Action in South Africa and the United States, Baruti Kafele, Motivating Black Males to Achieve in School and Life, John Michael Lee, The Educational Experience of Young Men of Color: A Review of Research, Pathways and Progress, and Shaun Harper, Student Engagement in Higher Education: Theoretical Perspectives and Practical Approaches for Diverse Populations. The panel is moderated by Carlton Brown, president of Clark Atlanta University.
