"Where They Stand: The American Presidents in the Eyes of Voters and Historians"

Robert Merry

About the Program

Robert Merry examines how U.S. Presidents are ranked in the eyes of historians and the populace.   The author places the President’s in groupings to better understand their places in history, from “Leaders of Destiny,” (Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and Jackson) to “Split-Decision Presidents,” who had a better first term than second (Wilson, Eisenhower, and Clinton) and “Utter Failures” (Fillmore, Andrew Johnson, Buchanan, and Pierce).  Robert Merry speaks at Politics & Prose Bookstore in Washington, D.C.
