About the Program

Peter Popham talks about his biography of Burma's Aung San Suu Kyi.  The longtime opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize recipient was elected to the lower house of the Burmese parliament on April 1, 2012.  In researching the book, Mr. Popham took covert trips to Burma and interviewed Aung San Suu Kyi.   This event was hosted by the Asia Society in New York City.
