About the Program

Michael Mann, lead author of the paper that introduced the hockey stick graph to the global warming debate (featured in the 2001 UN report on climate change) talks about his experiences being the subject of attacks by those who disagree with his conclusions.  He spoke at the Penn State Bookstore in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania.      

About the Authors

Michael Mann

Michael Mann teaches at Penn State University, where he is director of the Earth System Science Center.  Prof, Mann was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his work on climate change.  He is the co-founder of RealClimate.org and the co-author of "Dire Predictions: Understanding Global Warming."
