Kennan later became a historian and outspoken critic of U.S. diplomacy. Mr. Gaddis discusses Kennan's life and career with Susan Glasser, Editor-in-Chief of Foreign Policy magazine. John Lewis Gaddis is the author of numerous books, including The United States and the End of the Cold War: Implications, Reconsiderations, Provocations and The Cold War: A New History. He is a history professor at Yale University. John Lewis Gaddis' George F. Kennan was the winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Biography and 2011 National Book Critics Circle Award for Biography.
