About the Program

Michael Wallis recalls the life of frontiersmen and politician David 'Davy' Crockett (1786-1836).  Mr. Wallis reports on Davy Crockett's childhood in East Tennessee and his many childhood adventures that became fodder for his renowned stories of living on the frontier as well as his election to Congress as a representative from Tennessee in 1826.  Davy Crockett was killed at the Battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.  Michael Wallis speaks at Tattered Cover Bookstore in Denver.
