About the Program
John Prendergast and Michael Mattocks talk about their joint memoir at McNally Jackson Books in New York City. Prendergast, a human rights activist and co-founder of the Enough Project, became a Big Brother to Mattocks when the latter was a homeless 7-year-old in Washington, D.C., and Prendergast was 20. During this event, they are interviewed by NBC's Ann Curry.
John Prendergast
John Prendergast co-founded the Enough Project, an initiative to end genocide and crimes against humanity, in 2007. Prior to that he served as Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council (Clinton administration) and as a special adviser to the president of the International Crisis Group.
