Nigerian author Wole Soyinka talks about censorship and "a writer's purpose and responsibility in a climate of forced silence and intolerence."  This talk - The Sixth Annual Arthur Miller Freedom to Write Lecture - was part of the PEN World Voices Festival, held annually in New York City.

Wole Soyinka

Wole Soyinka, the recipient of the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature, is a writer, poet, and playwright.  His many books include "Ake: The Years of Childhood," "Climate of Fear," and "You Must Set Forth at Dawn."
