About the Program
Authors discuss the topic, “An Uncertain Future in Afghanistan: Assessing the Conflict Ten Years On.” Participating in the discussion are: Dr. Chris Coppola, author of "Coppola: A Pediatric Surgeon in Iraq"; Donna McAleer, author of "Porcelain on Steel: Women of West Point's Long Gray Line"; Doug Stanton, author of "Horse Soldiers: The Extraordinary Story Of A Band Of U.S. Soldiers Who Rode To Victory In Afghanistan"; Karl Marlantes, author of "Matterhorn: A Novel of the Vietnam War"; and Jack Segal, former senior U.S. diplomat and Vietnam War veteran. This event was part of the 16th Annual Colby Military Writers’ Symposium held at Norwich University in Vermont.
