From the 2011 Tucson Festival of Books at the University of Arizona, a panel discussion on astronomy. The panelists include, astronomers Stephen Strom and Doug Isbell, co-authors of Observatories of the Southwest: A Guide for Curious Skywatchers.  The event is moderated by Peter Smith, principal investigator and project leadership, University of Arizona's Phoenix Mars Mission.

About the Authors

Stephen Strom

Stephen Strom is an astronomer who has held positions at several universities throughout his career, including Lecturer in Astronomy at Harvard University and Chair of the Five College Astronomy Department at the University of Massachusetts.  He is a photographer, whose books of work include Sonoita Plain: Ecology and Aesthetics of an Arizona Grassland.  For more information, visit stephenstrom.com.
