About the Program

Izzeldin Abuelaish, a Palestinian doctor whose three daughters and niece were killed by Israeli forces during the 2009 raid on Gaza, argues for an end to the bloodshed between Israelis and Palestinians.  This event, hosted by Politics and Prose Bookstore, was held at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Washington, DC.

Izzeldin Abuelaish

Izzeldin Abuelaish was raised in the Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip and was a senior researcher at the Gertner Institute at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.  He is currently an associate professor at the Dalia Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.  For more, visit: daughtersforlife.com.
