Joseph Nye, University Distinguished Service Professor and former dean of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, talks about the changing nature of power in global affairs.  He argues that in the future, military and economic power will have competition in the digital age.  This talk was hosted by the Center for a New American Security in Washington, DC.   

About the Authors

Joseph Nye, Jr.

Joseph Nye has served as Deputy Undersecretary of State for Security Assistance, Science, and Technology from 1977 to 1979, as  Chairman of the National Intelligence Council from 1993 to 1994, and as Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs from 1994 to 1995.  He is the author of "Soft Power" and "The Paradox of American Power."
