Reading Jackie: Her Autobiography In Books

William Kuhn

About the Program

William Kuhn recalls the publishing career of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who worked as an editor for Doubleday and Viking.  Mr. Kuhn reports that although Ms. Onassis never authored a memoir, her selection of book projects mirrored her personal interests.  Her books ranged from a history of Thomas Jefferson's relationship with his slave, Sally Hemings to the assassination of John Lennon, urban planning and an effort to convince Michael Jackson to write his memoir.  William Kuhn presents his book at the Boston Athenaeum.
