Edwidge Danticat is the author of "Breath, Eyes, Memory" and "The Dew Breaker." Her book, "The Farming of Bones," was awarded the American Book Award.  Her latest is "Create Dangerously: The Immigrant Artist at Work."

Carlos Eire

Carlos Eire grew up in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States at the age of 12 as part of Operation Pedro Pan. He currently serves as a history and religious studies professor at Yale University.
