Andre Schiffrin

About the Program

Andre Schiffrin, founder of The New Press, argues that media conglomeration has led to the death of serious reportage in the United States.  The author presents his thoughts on the current state of the American media and posits different models that may resurrect, what he believes, is a flawed industry.  Andre Schiffrin is joined in conversation by Keith Gessen, editor-in-chief of n+1 magazine at the New School in New York City.
