About the Program
Michael Coffman argues that over the course of the past one-hundred years American's world view, once based on liberty and the individual has been replaced by increased government control. Mr. Coffman cites the disparate writings of John Locke and Jean Jacque Rousseau to illustrate what he believes are the changes in America's political understandings and presents his thoughts on how the Constitution can still protect the individual. Michael Coffman, discusses his book at the 2010 Eagle Forum Collegians Summit, a conference that brings together conservative speakers, authors and college students, held annually in Washington, DC.
