About the Program

Author and journalist Sebastian Junger talks about his latest book, "War," which chronicles the experiences of soldiers fighting in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley.  Mr. Junger was embedded with 173rd Airborne Brigade's Battle Company at various times between June 2007 and June 2008.  

He discusses his book with Paul Rieckhoff, founder and executive director of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (www.IAVA.org).  Mr. Rieckhoff, an Iraq War veteran, is the author of "Chasing Ghosts: Failures and Facades in Iraq - A Soldier's Perspective."
