Western historian Mark Lee Gardner presents a biography of criminal and fugitive Billy the Kid and his pursuer Lincoln County (New Mexico) sheriff Pat Garrett.  Mr. Gardner recalls the numerous crimes that Billy the Kid aka Henry Atrim, Henry McCarty, and William Bonney committed from stealing horses to murder, and details his capture, escape and eventual demise.  He also examines the American public's fascination with the "wild west."  Mark Lee Gardner discusses his book at Tattered Cover Bookstore in Denver.
