About the Program

Dominique Lapierre, author of "A Rainbow in the Night," talks about the heroic women he has written about in his many books.  These include Helen Lieberman, an anti-apartheid activist profiled in his latest book, and Mother Teresa, who he worked with and wrote about in "City of Joy."  Mr. Lapierre spoke at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.

Dominique Lapierre

French journalist Dominique Lapierre's many books include "Freedom at Midnight," "Is Paris Burning?," and "A Thousand Suns."  He is the co-founder, along with his wife, of the humanitarian organization City of Joy Aid.  For more information, visit: cityofjoyaid.org.
