John Kenneth White is a Professor of Politics at the Catholic University of America. He is the author of several books on American politics, including “The Fractured Electorate: Political Parties and Social Change in Southern New England,” “The New Politics of Old Values,” and “Still Seeing Red: How the Cold War Shapes the New American Politics.” Mr. White co-wrote “New Party Politics: From Hamilton and Jefferson to the Information Age” with Daniel Shea. His political analyses have appeared in several publications, including the Washington Post, the Boston Globe and the Christian Science Monitor.
