Bill Frist
Sen. Bill Frist served two terms as a Republican Senator from Tennessee, and from 2003-2007, he was Senate Majority Leader. He is board certified in both general surgery and heart surgery, and in 1985 he founded and directed the Vanderbilt Transplant Center, a multi-organ transplantation center. He is the author of over 100 medical articles as well as three books and in 2001 was named one of two Congressional representatives to the United Nations General Assembly.
