Robert Edsel

About the Program

Robert Edsel talks about the Allied unit that was tasked with recovering European cultural artifacts stolen by the Nazis during World War II.  The unit, made up art historians, curators and artists, lacked official authority and used a myriad of sources to track down the stolen fine art.  This event was hosted by the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.

A movie based on Mr. Edsel's book - starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett and John Goodman - will be in theaters on February 7th, 2014.

Robert Edsel will appear LIVE on Book TV to take your questions about the book and the movie on Saturday, February 22nd, at 11am ET.
