D.D. Guttenplan

About the Program

D.D. Guttenplan, London correspondent for The Nation magazine, recounts the life of journalist I.F. Stone.  Utilizing several sources, including documents recently made available through the Freedom of Information Act, Mr. Guttenplan presents new insights on the columnist whose reportage spanned from the Great Depression to the Vietnam War.  Stone who wrote for the Nation, PM, and I.F. Stone's Weekly was often labeled an iconoclast who was tracked by the FBI during his career.  This event was hosted by Northshire Bookstore in Manchester Center, Vermont.
