About the Program

June 4th marks the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square protests in China.  Diane Wei Liang appeared on Book TV in 2009 to talk about her book, "Lake with No Name."  In the book, Ms. Liang discusses her participation in China's Student Democracy Movement and the June 1989 Tiananmen Square demonstrations that ended with the massacre of hundreds of Chinese citizens.  This event was hosted by the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Ft. Worth.
