About the Program

In August of 1995, journalist Elsa Walsh talked about her book, "Divided Lives: The Stories of Three Accomplished Women." The three women discussed in the book are: Meredith Viera, a journalist for CBS; Rachel Worby, a classical music conductor; and Alison Estabrook, a surgeon in New York. The book focuses on how difficult it was for these three women to lead "divided lives" between their careers and their families.
