About the Program
A panel discussion on government's response to unforeseeable crises, focusing on the administration of Medicare and the federal response to Katrina. Kettl argues that the government has "grown into interlocking public-private-nonprofit systes that lack adequate governance, a clear government role and any central control." He provides a vision of how government crisis response can be reformed to fit the 21st century.
